What should you expect to earn as a professional reader?

The professional reading community charges a wide range of fees depending on a number of factors; however, the average rate for a qualified professional fully self-employed reader is very close to the $100 an hour mark with a minimum billing for event entertainment.

Psychics are normally tipped for their services.  Tips range between $5 and $20 on average.

Beginner: Less than a year of professional reading or hobbyist -- Free to $40 or less an hour OR Free - $20 for a half hour.

Intermediate: Less than two years of professional reading -- $50 - $60 an hour OR $25-35 for a half hour.

Advanced:  Two plus years of professional reading -- $65 -$200 OR less an hour or $40-150 for a half hour.

Celebrity/Unique Offering: Usually at least three years of professional experience reading; however, may get a break and have less experience -- $225 - $1000 OR $125 - $500 for a half hour.

*unique offering could be combining a licensed professional skill with reading or a different way of doing readings or using esoteric information and insight.
